I want to breed my Bettas. I'm a first timer. How do I breed them?

I have 1 male vieltail, 1 male combtail. The vieltail is royal blueish- purple and the combtail is a blueish green and appears almost holographic.Like, he will be in one angle and appears blue and the other angle hes green. i want the preetiest betta so what color female do i get? does the color of the female even matter? which one do i breed?

  1. When you do get eggs, make sure they don't eat the eggs by putting some mesh 1 or 2 inches from the bottom and females aren't usually that amazingly colored or any thing just so u know.

    Breeding bettas can be a serious matter because they can kill one another. Breed them only if you are really serious about it.

  4. I suggest going to www.ultimatebettas.com and learn all you can about breeding bettas and the genetics behind it if you want to get the prettiest fry.
