  1. You can't really make them love each other, I was in this situation before. I they mostly avoided each other The best thing for you to do is to go and buy another dwarf, or teddybear hamster. Hope this helped:)

  2. First, go get your parents and have them read this.

Your child has TWO different species of hamster and is trying to breed them so her friends can have baby hamsters. By 13, the minimum age that they are supposed to be on here, it would be wise to give them some basic information here on s*x ed and their pets in general.

You can NOT breed two different species of hamster, The number of chromosomes each species has differs and would not produce viable offspring even if you were somehow able to get them to mate. Even in a labratory setting, you couldn't produce babies from any dwarf species and a Syrian hamster.

Which ever type of dwarf hamster (there are four) you have and the Syrian (this is the correct name of a Teddy Bear) should NOT EVER be in contact with each other. Doing so, will eventually result in the death of a hamster, if not both.

PLEASE, get your child enough accurate information on how to properly and responsibly care for their pets before one of them ends up dead from the foolishness of trying to breed two different species who should NEVER be in contact with each other.

  3. if they r not gonna warm up to each other they probably won't mate anyways plus breeding animals is a lot of work n u hav to take them to the vet to see if they r in a good enough shape to breed or not

  4. Dwarf hamsters and Syrian hamsters are like cats and dogs. They CANNOT reprodce. Physically, they have different parts (egg cells and sprm to be exact) that will never mix. They cannot mate.

Both of these hamsters however are rather territorial towards other animals, and the larger one will eventually kill the little one.

Please do  the smart thing and not breed any animals. Breeding takes a lot of research. It is not just sticking together any male and female, like you did. There is a LOT that will go wrong if you don't know much about breeding hamsters. You didn't even specify their ages. And also, animals do not "love" eachother to mate. There really is a lot you need to learn before trying to breed anything.

And besides, there are so many perfect baby hamsters that have to die in shelters. If your friends want hamsters, tell them to go adopt one from a shelter and save it's life. Don't just keep making more animals! Think of it like this, if you breed a litter, and find all of them homes, the same amount of hamsters in shelters die. If you don't breed a litter, all those people that will want to adopt hamsters anyway will save them from shelters. Doesn't that sound like the better thing to do? Breeding is just selfish.

So separate your hammies to different cages, and direct your friends to a shelter :)

  5. Are you stupid? To different breeds of hamsters can NOT mate and besides that the syrian will kill the dwarf

  6. You can't breed 2 different types of hamsters. Really bad idea if they aren't getting along anyway!  Sorry!

  7. you need to do your research on hamsters.

you can not reproduce different types of breeds of hamsters together.

    they are not like dogs..

a dwarf would have to be bred with another dwarf, and a teddy bear with another teddy bare.

also, when breeding small animals, they must be young.

i know that if they are over a certain age, they can not physically be bred. otherwise, it is possible for them to break there hips while giving birth. just because one of your friends would enjoy a hamster, doesn't mean YOU must give her one.

she is better of going an buying herself one. putting your hamsters in jeopardy is not fair for them.

    :) hope i help

  8. Teddy Bear hamsters CANNOT I repeat CANNOT breed with Dwarf hamsters...they are NOT the same species!

It's a bad idea, because there are just too many unwanted animals in this world.

  9. It is impossible to breed a dwarf hamster with a syrian (teddybear) hamster, they are not the same species. It would be like trying to successfully mate a human and a chimpanzee. Not going to work. If you want to breed, do your research. Do it because you like the hobby, not because your friends want a pet of their own.

  10. if they dont like each other then leave them alone and maybe buy another then both  will be intrested and whant to get in there !!!!!!

    and give it some

  11. If They Dont Like Each Other I Wouldn't Attempt To Breed Them And I Wouldn't Breed My Hamster Just Because My Friend Wanted A Baby One !! You Cant Take Them Away From There Mums Till There 12 Weeks Old Anyway They'r better Going To A PetShop If They Want One !
