I got 2 cerwin vega vmax 10.4

and could anybody help me with the measurement?

  1. The speaker should have came with the best specs to build a box. Look at you manual to make sure.  Because some subs need small boxes and some need larger ones to operate at there capable capacity. Like my kicker solo x need at least 3 cubic ft to operate best but other lower grade subs may not need half as much space..

    This Cerwin Vega chart gives you the volume requirement of 0.75 cubic feet per subwoofer. If you have two of them - double it.

    Square or Rectangular Enclosures:

    These boxes are the easiest to calculate the internal volume. You simply measure the height, width and depth (in inches), multiply them together and then divide that number by 1728.

    If the box has internal measurements of 6" high*18" wide*12" deep then the volume of the box is 1296/1728=.75 ft^3. The diagram below shows how you would measure the dimensions of the box.

    It doesn't really matter what shape the box is so long as the numbers add up.

    By the way - make sure you use MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) in your box construction.
