  1. don't make a custom BMX as soon as u get to the skate park on a custom BMX everyone will think that you are really good but as soon as you ride around everyone will know your not and you will get a bad reputation. Buy a complete bike. As your new to BMX i think that you should get a Haro Intro Lite. It is a good bike for a low price also its a brand name. Everyone who knows about biking will know Haro even some people who don't. The Haro Forum Intro Lite is a great bike for a beginnner and is very easy to change parts on when you become better, its light too so it should be quite easy to learn new tricks. look at it on the Haro website then shop around for it http://www.harobikes.com/bmx/bikes/forum...

  2. here are the brands you should pick from

    fit

    haro

    eastern

    kink

pick one that you like, id suggest that you should buy one around 400$.

ride that around and get use to it.

after saving a little bit more money, id start to buy parts to make it lighter and stronger.

i would first buy 1 chrome rim for the back, from the same brands that i listed.

buy a rim for the front

buy a new sprocket(small) and chain.

then get new cranks(2 peice), new pedals.( plastic is good, light, but metal sticks more to your feet,)

buy new bars(if you are big and tall id buy big bars, also are better for your back, and are easier to control. and stem( buy the ones that are lightest, generally stems are all strong)

buy new grips, and tires, it will make your bike feel better.

buy a new frame. light and strong.

buy all the parts from the brands that i listes because they are known to be good.

if you want breaks on your bike then get new break lever and cable when your buying your grips and tires.

when you have all these parts bought you should be a pretty good biker.

when you are looking at parts look to see if the parts are made out of 4130 chrome. that is the strongest material the parts can be made out of,

    good luck and have fun.

  3. what ever happend to just riding for fun? who cares what bike you have, you clearly are new to biking, so it dosnt matter what bike you got...yet

  4. get a 3 piece crank not 2 their better
