I want to but a phone on ebay, but a question about warrenty??

Question

I would like to purchase a phone on ebay from somebody who lost their phone but recieved a new one from insurance.

They would like to sell the one they got from insurance.

It is obviously brand new.

But i am just concened, if soemthing goes wrong with THAT phone when i get it (if i win) what do i do?

Will it have warranty??

I would be hesitant until you can see the warranty and/or hear from the seller.  I am an eBay seller and I don't always get to my questions right away.  So wait a day or so.  But I would certainly ask to have a copy of the warranty faxed or scanned so you can see it.

You would have to ask her to send you a proof of purchase, or the invoice her insurance gave her so that you can prove its not an older model. I wouldn't bid until she replies.

You will have to ask her, AND THE MANUFACTURER, if the warranty is transferrable.  Most of the time it isn't.

Also, how do you know it's not stolen?
