The hotel I will be staying at in France is near the Roissy airport which is in zone 5 so all the nearby train stations/ subways are likely to be in zone 5 or zone 4 which is annoying as I just want to visit paris which is zone 1 &2.

  1. Well, it depends how long you're going to stay there, actually.

But, a ticket called "Paris visite" is, for zones 1-5:

    1 day: 17,05€

    2 days: 27,15€

    3 days: 38,10€

    5 days: 46,60€

Here's the tube and RER website. Go to International Passengers (top), and then go to Travel Pass (left-end side). It just explains you how it works. You can also have a look around the site.

With this pass, I think you can take the bus at night (see Noctilien map), but they don't talk about it so you'd have to ask when you buy it (at the airport).

I thought you might take the bus every day, but it would be too expensive to go there (return ticket from airport is 17€, plus metro ticket).
