I want to buy a boat?

Hey guys, just wondering I am looking to buy a Aluminum Tinni, I want to spend between $2,000 & $3500, I live in Brisbane,Queensland, would a tinni be a safe boat?? and i will be using it for fishing and exploring near by islands around brisbane.

P.S i would like to be able to take up to 4-5 adults with me is that to many?
