I want to buy a canon digital camera? Any good suggestions?

Going to college in less than 2 weeks, and my parents want me to look around for cameras that are under $150 that are canon. The camera we have as a family is SO slow and we don't like it cuz the batteries are on the side of it. So I'm looking for a reliable Canon camera, that takes FAST pictures that is under $150... any suggestions/websites you can lead me to?? Thanks sooo much! =)

I dont' know that you CAN get digital for 150..  might try overstock or check your local stores clearances.  I would not buy used.  Youmight have to go a bit higher to get a good canon that is digital.  

I think Rebel is awesome but then I am prejudiced.   You might try buying at Costco or Sams club... but I have ben having problem with electronics from costco this last couple of years.

The all time winner bargain compact digital camera is the Canon 7.1 megapixel PowerShot SD1000 [not the IS] 7.1 with an added 2- gig memory card which when set in the manual mode for "Vivid" colors and videos at 30 fps in 320 dpi format provides killer images and videos.
