I'm going to one of the largest school in the country and I'll probably have one class with over 100-200 students. With that in mind, which digital voice recorder can catch my professor's lectures in a huge lecturing hall? I'm not looking to spend a lot of money either.

Also, I want to transport the lectures to my computer, so something compatible with Windows Vista is a must.

Thanks!

  1. huge lecturing hall.. you will need a professional digital voice recorder. Trust me you might get yourself a $100 one but you cant even catch the voice from across the room without yelling and that's with the conference microphone one. you need professional one like the ds-4000 or ds-5000 made by olympus check em out:

PS: they also got the ds-2300 and 3300 for cheaper but i wouldnt recommend and compare with the philips 9600 line

  2. a lot of mp3 players these days come with voice recording capability and are very convenient. there are some nice cheap ones that record for hours. creative makes some decent ones with good sound recording.
