I want to buy a home cinema system....that....?

Question

1. Has a multiregional dvd player

2. Upscales to 1080p

3. I can hook up to my sky box to get surround sound with sky broadcast

4. Has tall boy speakers.

Any ideas?!!

I don't think you can buy such a home cinema system like it yet.

Best to do what a mate of mine has done when he wanted to do the same.

Buy a AV sound system which can link to any other sources like DVD players and sky system.

Most of these will come with the tall boy speakers.

Try the Panasonic SC-PT860 which has just recently come out. It does all of the above and more. Have a look at it at digitaldirect.co.uk. This version has four tallboys, a centre speaker and a sub-woofer. I recently bought the PT460 version, which is exactly the same except with smaller speakers. Only had it a few days, so am still tinkering with the set-up but the pictures are great and it shakes the room (1000 watts). Has an optical input for satelite connectivity, you just need to buy the lead.

you probably wont be able to find that in an all in one system. You will have to buy the components seperate. The hometheaters in a box are usually cheap and lack alot of hookups and give low quality sound.  They are FAR from future proof also you get the bare minimum.  To get what you want you will have to look around alot.  It took me 3 months to find exactly what i wanted. I went all over the net and looked at reviews prices etc.. and when i found things i liked went locally and listened to them (if they had them in store)  Amazon is a GREAT place to start because they usually have good prices and ALOT of user reviews. Cnet.com also has editor reviews of alot of home theater stuff.

This is a great system and i think it does hook up to your sky system.If you email the place they will let you know.Ive had several things from here and i highly recommend them.The customer service and delivery is great.They wouldn't leave my house until i had opened my lcd tv to check it was not damaged.The prices are also fantastic
