I want to buy a kayak? TEN POINTS?

wat should i look for i brand new to the sport and i really think im interested in it.is fun i dont want a white water kayak i want one for calm open waters wat is the best type and is it worth the money is it fun??

i think it is just personal opinion what kinda of kayak you feel most comfortable in, and it is totally worth it, it is really fun and you meet people if you do it for a sport there are like groups who just get together durning the summer and race against eachother and stuff, it is super fun and ya just look for something u feel the best in :D

Most definitely fun. Think about renting a few and getting a feel for them. Once you buy one your kind up stuck with it. At least for awhile. Be good if it fits right and works for you.

i always have had sit on tops by  Ocean Kayaks and would recommend them they are great fun in the surf and on the calm  check them out... have fun

I suggest you get some lessons...try to find a local canoe/kayak club. Boating deaths are up. Many as a result of inexperience. Search for your National Canoe/Kayak organization and inquire. Most magazine racks carry CK mags with information and ads. Fun may not be the right word but boating of all kinds is pleasurable.
