I want to buy a laptop. What is the best buy for under £500?

I have always used a PC and have little knowledge of what to look for.

  1. My last Windows computer was a Sony. It was OK. I would say that all computers have their advantages and disadvantages. For budget, I would go for an Acer or even a sub-notebook for example the Eee PC. You can get an Eee PC with Windows XP on for £250.00, although, I have to say Linux is a lot, lot faster.


  2. Samsung for Engineering career. HP for General carears. IT carear must go for Sony.

  4. ok i have two laptops

    my advice is to look up the local stores on the internet and see who has got the best deals on laptops at the moment

    but word of advice don't use pc world u will end up walking out with software u didn't want
