I want to buy a new bmx bike but I have been out of the sport for so long that i don't know what to get?

I'm looking to buy a new bmx bike but I'm 23 and the last time I rode i was 17. I use to be very knowlegible of BMX bikes at the time and i knew what was good quality. Now i am completely lost and don't know where to start. I was into dirt and street so at that time I owned a Specialized TJ Lavin Vegas for dirt and a Haro Ryan Nyquist for street. My Vegas is trashed since dirt was my preference and my Nyquist was stolen. I'm looking to spend less than $300 either completely built or would also like to build one from the ground up so if you can help with suggestions to keep my budget low on parts that would be great. I was looking at the General Lee bike on danscomp.com and i remember that was a bike I use to drool over but if you have any better suggestions than that bike, throw em at me. you should deffinately check out www.danscomp.com and www.jrbicycles.com...they have a really good range and good prices....some brands that you should look into are eastern, kink and fit...thay are all really good and are really reliable....hope i could help!

I have a friend that purchased a Haro Intro and it is a great bike.  It seemed to be a little on the heavy side when I rode it, but it is very tough and can take alot of abuse. Good luck in your search.!!!
