I want to buy a new computer monitor (LCD)?

Question

So i recently bought a new computer for computer gaming and got the geforce 8800GT video card. unfortunately im still using my old flat screen (and by old i mean i had to use the converter plug to stick the monitor into the video card). so i was wondering when i buy an LCD monitor do i have to buy any other cables or anything of that sort? also if you have suggestions for which screen to buy or a good price/size or any other common troubleshooting info please help. thanks

8800GT have DVI plug and I am sure if you buy new LCD you won`t need to use converter , about the brand and price i suggest you dell LCD we are use this in our country they are working well , but first thing that guide you and help you in brand and size is your money , pay more and you will get better LCD ;)
