definately nikon it has really cool effects i havent seen in any other camera my friend got one yesturday for 179$ and its AWESOME quality! Canon is also good, but personally i prefer nikon ;)

I have a Fujifilm Finepix that I purchased 18 months ago. It is a great camera.  The picture quality is great and the zoom is fantastic.  The software is easy to use.

After 18 months, it is now old with the new models being even better.   A good starting point for your search.

There are loads of cameras out there at the moment that are small and easy to use, and it can be difficult to find the right one!

From what you have said I would recommend the 10 megapixel Casio Z1080.  It a small and compact camera and light weight at just under 4.5oz (130g), but its packed full of features including Casio's YouTube Capture Mode which makes it remarkably easy to upload and share video and pictures on the Internet.

infosyncworld.com for reviews of cameras and fones etc. Myself personally i would recommend Fuji Finepix range as Fuji have an uncanny knack for producing pictures as good as 35 mm film. If you dont like Fuji then Pentax is your only other option. Play.com will do you an Finepix F100FD for about £190

Without a doubt a Canon Ixus 85 IS.  This camera is incredible.  I have put videos on youtube without any hassle.  Its very easy to use, feels great, looks great, unbeatable quality and also a very good battery life.  It will not dissapoint you. £180 in certain places on the internet. try play.com
