i want to buy a palm centro for $100 online and my mom doesn't want to get scammed. help?!?!?! is there ways you can check people, or are there things you should look for. any help would be aprreciated. thanks

Yes, this is quite a big thing now-a-days "scamming." If it is a secure site such (e.g. Walmart.com) or something that has a little padlock icon in the bottom corner that says "TRUSTED" then it should be okay. What site were you looking at, and how were you looking to pay for it are 2 things to worry about.

Depends where you are buying it from. If it's from Ebay, they usually state everything on there, like if it's Used or New and what not. If in doubt, always question! E-mail them with questions your mother wants answered. Plus, $100 isn't really much for a palm centro anyway, it sounds like it's heavily used to me.
