Hello, can one suggest for me where to get an affordable carpet for a 3rd grade class room... Money is kinda tight right now, so the most I'm willing to spend would probably be 100 bucks... Any suggestiong would greatly be appreciated... Thanks

  1. Try the Rug Rag Style Guide!!!!

  2. I would STRONGLY suggest you don't spend a penny on this. I always visited local carpet stores and asked if they would be willing to donate remnants to my classroom. Also, I would put the word out I was looking and often times, someone had something perfect for a reading carpet.

In fact, I have a piece that is brand new and would be perfect, if you want to visit California, it is all yours!

  3. Like a patterned carpet or activity carpet?  You could make one of your own for probably cheaper than $100.  If you get the individual carpets they sell for like $5 a piece, you could get a bunch of different colors, sew them together and have it be a pattern of some sort, like a checkerboard.

You might also check out a carpet outlet.  Not sure what area you live in, but in our area they have Big Bob's "used" carpets, but they also sell cheap off the end of the roll.
