  1. No you don't.

  2. yes u do.. a car license doesnt allow you to ride a scooter.. it may look like it does, on the back there is a scooter i know.. but u have to do the test first and then u have to send ur license away and have a scooter added to it!

  3. If you passed your test before 1997, you can ride anything under 150cc straight away, pre 2001 under 50cc and L plates.

Post 01, a compolsury bike test ( cbt) for anything under 50cc, a proper bike test for anything over 50cc

  4. If you look at your paper licence, it will tell you what you are allowed to drive without taking further tests.

  5. At my location, YES.

You'll need certified third party endorsement (i.e, proof

of instruction is required), insurance, and pass exams.

  6. You can ride a 50cc moped or scooter that is restricted to 30mph (almost all are anyway) older ones such as the Yamaha FS1E are not restricted, but have pedals (as in mo-ped)

You can ride both types on a full car license, and do not require L plates..

Your license acts as a provisional for other classes, including motorcycles, which means you can ride up to a 125cc after taking a CBT course.. you then have 2 years to take a full bike test, or you are banned for a period, and then have to start all over again.

ANYTHING other than these, and you will require a full class D motorcycle license.

  7. Scooters use approximately 5% of fuel the average car uses. You'll be saving yourself a fortune if you regularly substitute your car for your new scooter - not to mention your reduced carbon footprint! ;-)

  8. Yes you do need a license for a two wheeler.
