I was looking for cane furniture as well and ended up in Shivaginagar, near commercial street. I think the street name was Coil Street, but I am not sure. There are several cane furniture vendors there with some articles on display and books/brochures from which you can choose other designs.

I did not buy anything in the end, so I cannot vouch for the quality, but everything looked solid enough and the vendors were friendly/ helpful.
