They're pretty easy to find.  If you want a recently retired one, you can find those at public auctions.  There are always a few of them govdeals.com, for instance.

If you want a really snazzy looking older one, you should probably look at Hemmings.

I dont know if this is gonna be of any real help - but it potentially COULD be. When I read your question, I immediatley thought of this one city in california who is facing bankruptcy (there's probably more and likely many in the usa.) But it made me think, city services are always the last to get cut, but they probably have to give up some things to stay afloat. If you could find a hurting FD that nbeeds to get rid of some assets, it might bear well in your quest. - again, just a thot.
