I want to buy a used lawn tractor for raceing or goine to the library how much shoud i pay

i live in a small town that you need a car to get to places i want a lawn tractor that i can use to race how much should i pay for a old tractor ?

The purpose of a lawn tractor is to cut grass, not transportation to the library or racing.  That being said, prices for used ones would vary.  Some of the professional zero turn models are over $3 grand, new.

As with anything else, it would depend for the most part on age and condition.

You can use a TRACTOR? Don't you need a special license???? I think on normal roads a car would be better... But I dunno. And I don't think the racing part is very good, I have driven a tractor before, and they go up to, like, 35 MPH at the most.
