I want to buy an owl?

Question

In harry potter harry has an owl called hedwig

well i really want an owl that looks like hedwig and can send messages just like hedwig one that is trained please help i love animals and want one like hedwig bad

and she will not live in a cage i know all about owls i want one and i am prepared for one

I want an owl to! :) I bet you could train them I don't know about legal stuff but I think it would work

It is legal to have an owl in the USa and you dont have to be licensed to do so. Also i have heard they are good pets and there are alot of owl breeders

Well, if you want an owl, you will have to go through seven or more years learning about animal care, then get a job giving owl presentations to kids, or training owls for movies, or for doing tricks in the circus...
Anyway, it's hard and costly to get one, and you can't own one in the United States unless it is for your job and you can't have it as your "pet". So if you really want an owl, you will have to move to Venezuela or something. If you still want an owl after hearing that, than you should hear these facts about owls as pets. Owls sleep during the day, bite a lot, yarp (that means vomit, pretty much) pellets full of fur, bones and pretty much anything else that they couldn't digest, and hate being cooped up inside. Hedwig is a snowy owl, and snowy owls, even though they are very pretty, aren't very friendly. Hedwig probably can't really deliver letters, and it was just a movie trick to make it look like the fictional Harry Potter books. Sorry if this bums you out, but maybe you can still get a pet bird like a parrot.

Really?!?!?!? Okay, its nice that you are prpared for one do you think you are preapared? I mean,they are wild! Where would you find one????? Overall, I dobn't think you should buy one.
