  1. No you do not want to do that because it is illegal in the USA to recycle car batteries. You cannot get a permit in any state of the USA to do such a thing.   All battery recyclers in the US have been GONE for over 20 years.

You are dealing with lead and lead sulphate in car batteries.   All car batteries,  the used ones, are sent to China where they recycle the lead from the battery.  They have small towns over they that have literally poisoned the atmospher and earth forever recycling car batteries.

If you are talking about  cleaning the batteries and then taking a high voltage AC to clear grounds on batteries,  that simply doesnt work in the long run.   Those ideas have been tried and quit before.

  2. Go around to marine dealer ships... They usually have dead ones. average cost $5

  3. hi i am a mechanic working from home and do get a few batteries give me a ring , 07831 589627 Phil

  4. what exactly is the question regarding car batteries ...where to get them or ...where to get rid of them ...and how much are you offering to buy them for

  5. I usually have them given to me and sell them for recycling, and profit.  The prices are up right now, and they are getting harder to find.  I guess that means that more of us are recycling.

  6. go to car scrap dealers all around glasgow, sug to look in the yellow pages or on line.hope this helps m8.

  7. Most companies that have emergency back up power for lights or running pc's have "UPS" battery banks that hold many deep cycle batteries, they have to be changed out after so many years and normaly they do all of them at one time. ( I know because my company has about 100 batteries waiting to be return to a recycler right now) You could ask another company about taking them off thier hands so they don't have to ship them off. You might have to show proof or sign a form stating ownership so they are not found in landfills...
