  1. i would purchase a 3 hybrid, they are much easier to hit vs. a 3 iron. plus they have more loft on them so you have a better chance of sticking it on the green from a longer distance

  2. There are lot of golf clubs here.

  3. I would try a 2h, 3h, and 3 iron, and see which one you hit best from a tee, from the fairway, and from the rough.  Take the one that is most consistent and fits into that 220-225 distance.  I'll bet it will be either a 2h or 3h.

ps.  There are two types of hybrids - ones that are more wood based (longer shaft and larger head), and ones that are iron based (shorter shaft and smaller head).  You may need to try a few of each to see what fits your needs.

  4. I would suggest getting a hybrid, they are far easier to hit than a regualr 3 iron, and getting a 5-wood as well it is also a very easy club to hit, and fairly good off the tee for beginning players.

  5. I had the same issue and decided on a 2 hybrid. It's as easy to hit as a mid-iron, but has great distance. I bought a Tour-Edge hybrid, a great club at an affordable price. Highly recommended.
