Yeah those cheap shops are always good...as are haberdashery shops, like Spotlight, where you can usually pick them up inexpensively in small bags...

Cheap Chinese shops and $1 shops tend to have little coins with Chinese / thai / Japanese writing on them.

Normally $1 for 5 but some shops have it cheaper.

I made my own bellydance belt with coins I got it done it looks great, try to go to any Jo-anns near where you live they sell the best , you only have to sew the strip of coins on the fabric you have prepared for it.

I'm in Toronto (Canada) - here we can by coins by the bag at most stores that carry coin belts.

** and when I was in NYC I got a large bag of them for $5 the Sunday Street fair in the Upper West Side
