I want to buy something from ebay but where will the item be sent (exactly)?

Hey.

I wanna buy a book from ebay. I have an account and when I entered the ordering form for the item it tells me the address that I put when I registered so I will confirm it - everything ok. But, my question is, where will my book be sent? It can't be sent to my home address, I mean literally in the leter box at my house. I know it sounds really silly but I have no idea about online shopping!

Also, there that it will be sent, how will I know that it came?

Give your home address if the box is small then the Post office will let you know and they will deliver at the address(at your door  or have you pick it up at the post office,during operating hours).

if it doesn't fit in your mailbox, it will be delivered by UPS or Fedex etc. If you aren't home, they will either leave it in a hidden location at your house and leave a note...OR, they will leave it at the closest post office for you to pick up.
