  1. the first answer is correct. i have an pay-pal from ebay & take care of my capital one credit card on line. never had a problem. just make sure the site is reliable & secure.

Just be careful to shop with reputable companies.  If you want to shop on Ebay use Paypal.  Many credit card companies offer an online shopping account number which is different from your regular credit card account number but is accepted where ever the credit card is accepted.  I don't recall what it's called as I've never used it but my sister does and she thinks it's a great idea.  I've shopped online for several years now without a problem but I do check out any company I share my information with and I usually have Ebay items shipped to me at my work address rather than my home address so some nut doesn't find out where I live.  Just use some caution and common sense.

  3. when you are paying for something make sure the website is secure

    (you can usually tell because  the website will have (this is just a sample)

    https//www.safe.com_

    and there will be a small icon of a lock somewhere on your web browser
