  1. you can go to the local feed store i.e cenex and buy the shots and do it yourself... the shots are cheap and easy to adminster the nice people at the feed store can tell you how to do it... while your there pick up worm meds too kittens get worms like crazy also de flea them too cats get tapeworms from fleas

  2. if shes indoors only...they're right, its not all that important...if she goes outdoors however it is important although my moms cat goes outdoors, and has done so for years without shots (my mom refuses to get her any shots) and shes never gotten anything...but if she goes outdoors it is simply not worth the risk of her getting sick from the various diseases cats can catch from other cats and vermin and such...if shes indoors only and has no access to cats that go outside...the shots are of little importance and can be forgotten about

  3. Yes if the cat is an indoor cat you don't really need the shots but darn if I can deny them there freedom

  4. I don't bother with vaccinations for cats. I've had them for over 20 years now and only one had her shots, she lived a long life, but so did the others.

Anyway, if you insist, call a shelter, some of them do low-cost clinics.

  5. If your cat remains strictly indoors only, you should think twice about shots. There are numerous complications and illnesses associated with several vaccines.

  6. Although there has been allot of articles written on whether or not to vaccinate your pets these days, especially if your kitten is exposed to other pets or the elements, SHE NEEDS HER SHOTS.

Do a google search for "low cost vaccinations in Edmonton" and see what you can come up with.

Also, contact your local shelters and ask them who they would recommend for low cost.

Please dont forget to get her spayed, as this is the #1 important thing for your babies future!

  7. Check with Petco. They have low cost vaccination clinics on certain weekends.

EDIT: I'm sorry, but indoor OR outdoor, the kitten booster vaccinations should be a REQUIREMENT. Adult vaccinations can be ignored, but in no way should a kitten be denied that protection.

  8. ONE OF THE GREATEST LOSSES, WAS WHEN I LOST MY ORIENTAL SIAMESE CALLED SMOKE DUE TO LEUKEMIA. AT THAT TIME THERE WAS NO VACCINE FOR THEM.

IF YOU CANT AFFORD TO GET YOUR CAT TO THE VET.  GO TO THE FEED STORE WHERE THEY HAVE FOR APPROXIMATELY $ 7 - 10 DOLLARS, THE THREE IN ONE EYE DROP. WHICH WILL COVER THE COMMON KILLERS.

BUT YOU HAVE TO GO TO THE VET FOR THE  RABIES SHOT  AND OFCOURSE A GENERAL CHECK UP.

    GOOD LUCK
