  1. Green gecko? I think you may be thinking of a Green anole. I live in Texas, and I rarely see geckos. The ones I do are usually brown or black.

Here is a male Green anole: http://www.the-lizard-lounge.com/content...

It's pretty easy to catch them, but you will need to get the proper set up if you want to have one as a pet. I'd suggest doing a lot of research. But instead of catching one from the wild, you can buy one from Petsmart for around $8. These lizards are used to being in captivity, when the wild ones only know the wild and that's what they prefer.

But if you want to catch one just to look for a while, you'll need a container. Just herd the lizard from it's spot into the container. Green anoles are out in the day, and it's not hard to find them. It can be fun to just watch them for a bit, but it would be nice to just let them go at the end of the day. One from the petstore would be a better choice, since they are used to the captive lifestyle.

    Good luck. =)

  2. im pretty sure green gecko dont typicaly eat fruit. they eat bugs kinda like frogs do. but having one as a pet could put its life in jepardy. if its used to being in the wild  the mere shock of its new habitat may kill it. i think your better off buying one at a pet store
