  1. Try to keep a smile on your face when you encounter people. When you get to your first class, acknowledge the kids around you and introduce yourself to those you haven't met. You will be able to tell who is interested in being friendly if you make just that first move. By the time you get to lunch, you will have met at least one person you can sit with, and after a week or so, you'll have plenty of new friends. Have a great year!

  2. bring out your inner confidence, not so much that it makes you cocky or conceited but just enough to get new friends, it's hard to talk to people you don't know, but once you compliment someone or simply say hi, you realize it's not so hard.  it starts conversations.

also get INVOLVED join clubs, play sports, it builds bonds with people who share the same interests.

at lunch, i'm sure you can find someone you know or once you have started talking to people say hey can i sit here?

    smile a lot too (:

    hope i helped

  3. Sophmore year is wayyyy different than freshman year. First of all, you get to make fun of the freshmen. : ] . All of your friends are in different classes, so your gonna have to do the same thing... make friends, just like you did freshman year. Just relate to people, laugh at their jokes, make fun of the teachers with them etc. If your alright at sports, join sports. That's a good way to make friends...especially if your really good at them. Just find ppl similar to you..and just talk to them, don't be shy.  About lunch... if you see people you kind of know, but not really.... If your feelin confident enough, just sit by them. Try to be their friend. Talk to them. If you can't do that, sit by someone else who's sitting by themself. RESIST the urge to go and chill in the library because you don't know anyone.

Also, your gonna notice that everyone changes sophmore year. Drama happens all the time. It's also when everyone starts to party for real, and your gonna maybe notice that people think they are so tight because they party...just don't pay attention to that. Don't be naive...if you decide to start to smoke or get into the party scene...don't go "ohhh man i was so wasted." or "oh mannnn i'm sooooo stoned." it's not cool. just act like you've been there, done that.

    the end.

    hope it helped. : ]
