I want to change my hair... but what should i ask for at the place?

this is how my hair looks [[and it has been like this for AGES... so boring]]...

but i want to change it to look basically exactly like this:

i don't know what to ask for when i go to the place [[which place should i even go?!?!!]]...

i can't tell if this has alot of layers or if it is like done with a razor or what...

i am gonna bring the picture, but what if they totally mess it up!

i think i just need good advice so that i know what to expect... got any?

just dont brush your hair for a couple of days and that should do it!  haha!  it definitly looks like it's done with a razor.  just print out that picture and take it with you- give it to the girl cutting your hair and say- i want this.  hope that helped

Your hair is going to look way!! better! With the second cut. It`s done with a razor. Definitely take the picture with you. They stylist will know what to do;o)

It doesn't matter where you have your haircut, had mine at a top salon and the guy didn't even get it so i just settle for the Walmart or Fantastic Sam's places, as long as you let them know how to do it and have your picture handy...The cut your going for looks like they might've used straight razor on it, why don't you go for something that's shoulder length type; it will look good on you and it's something different other than your "ages & boring" hairdo you've had...Good luck

Print the pic & take it to the salon with you. A picture is worth a thousand words. Don't be afraid,as long as you talk to them before the cut ,when you give the pic to them you'll be just fine. Make sure to ask questions if you have any as well. Don't go to a cheapo place such as Super Cuts. Go for a higher end salon. You can go in for a consultation & talk to a stylist ahead of time& get all of your questions answered . Then make your appointment. That way,if you don't like the stylist you can back out.

you should try to get layers and bangs, not side bangs but the ones on your forhead. also, get it a little shorter.

Sorry, taking the picture with you is as obvious as you can make it for your hairdresser. Apart from that just shut your eyes, say your prayers, and hope for the best. If it doesnt work out you'll probably have to wait for it to grow out again.

Though I must say I like your hair as it is now. Maybe just some streaks would look awesome.

1. you can print and show them the picture

2. you have to let your bang grow out and take some hair off your bang and sweet it to the other side of your hair (if that makes sense) becuz as it grows it will go in your face more

3. you want it chopped (to the length you want it.) chopped is getting your ends jagety instead of straight across

Print the picture and tell the hairdresser that you want a cut similar to that.  However, don't expect a replica of this hair because photos deceive, this person probably has hair texture, length, and thickness that is different than yours, and other varying factors.  I'm sure the picture will best express what you want but you will not get a guarantee that that's exactly how your new hair will look.
