I want to change my middle name via Deed Poll but my brother says my bank will charge me?

I want to legally change my middle name. I'll need to contact my bank- Nationwide Building Society - because my current middle name is on my cards, records etc.

My brother said Nationwide will charge me for changing my name because it's a lot of hassle for them.

Is he right?

  2. Nope.  There should be no charge.  Just take the deed document into your bank with some I.D. and they should change it.  Its actually not a hassle.  Ive done many changes of name at work.  Its easy...promise

  3. Dont think so  I changed  my name by deed-poll and didn`t have anything to pay

  4. Whatever you choose to call yourself and are known by is your name. Banks will charge tyou to f**t outside their premises.

  5. No, you won't be charged for updating your details i.e. name changes.
