  1. Check with Yahoo customer service. I would create a new account with new domain name and publish site to it, keep both and link them or cancel old account.

    Hope this helps

  2. sure, just type in the domain name you are interested in, if it is available you can change it

  3. If your hosting account has cPanel (it should), log into your account and look for something called Parked Domains and/or Add-on Domains. Eventually you'll want your main domain name changed, but this is a quick-and-dirty approach that will work. Just make sure that you REDIRECT the parked domain, not simply point it at the same data as your main domain, or Google may flag both the domains as "duplicate content" sites, which will hurt your rank.

  4. There are many sites that sell domain names for about $10 a year. Once you own a name you can ask your web host to change it but there may be a small fee involved.

Always check with your web host first since they may sell names and attach them for a lower charge.

It is also possible to keep your existing domain name and just point to it from the new one. The services that sell names may have that service for free.
