...a shade darker, my natural colour is light brown but i really like the chocolate brown colour but i dont know if it'll look good/bad on me. i'm quite tanned and have an olive skin tone with brown eyes, but i'm scared of ruining my hair, even tho it wouldnt be a huge change..is it better to go to a salon instead of from a box or is it easier to use a box dye if i only want a shade darker or two....never dyed my hair before lol

  1. I would use a temporary color that rinses out after afew washes they don't cause damage.  Stay away form permanent colors because one you do it you are stuck. Good luck!!!

  2. I agree with the other person who said to use the Clairol Natural Instincts! It is a lot easier on your hair, and fades after a couple of months..   I have found that the permanent dye, even when going darker  changes the hair color underneath, so when the actual color starts to fade you are left with sometimes a reddish tone hair color.. after a few months.  I would go with the semi-permanent.  (the natural instincts.)

  3. my first time i messed up big time.

i mean the color was fine.

    the bathroom was not.

after that i always went to the salon to dye it.

but for the last few months i've been doing it myself. AND it's incredibly easy.

i would advise you to add a photo link or ask the opinion of those who can see your skin tone; it  could look good.

at the same time, it might not work with your color.

  4. don'tt do box color. it never turns out right & really damages your hair! i've done it enough times to know it's a REALLY bad idea! go to a salon & tell them what you want...if your tan with brown eyes, the darker brown should look really good on you! maybe ask about getting apermanente color on it. it won't damage your hair as much & it eventually fades out. so if you don't like it, it'll only be there about 6 weeks!

  5. its really easy to use a box. And a lot cheaper. I would use Clairol Natural Instincts. Its easy on your hair, easy to use, and only last a few months. Eventually, it fades out so you'll be left with your normal hair color - ish.
