I'm 140 now not really in shape...

Is 9 weeks enough time to become a sufficient runner? Providing I will run everyday.

I also need some tips to build my stamina

  1. i know what your feeling right now...i want to become a cross country runner but right now i can hardly run a mile. yes, i think that you can become a great runner but just make sure that you stretch out A LOT because one injury could ruin all your training! and make sure that you arent running too much (take at least one day off a week) so that you dont overdo it! good luck! i hope you make your school's track and field!

  2. ok so,

i was not in shape at all when i started track;but with the helpof my coach i got better.

so what you can do is:

run a short period for a couple of days (3 4 maybe)

and after that add a couple of meters to the distance you were running run that distance for a couple of days

than add more distance and run that a couple of days

    etc etc.

and remember at anytime you start yo hurt anywhere make sure you s t o p running for that day, you can really hurt a muscle or something;remember theres always the next day!

make sure you stretch your legs and everthing BEFORE you start running and AFTER you run its really important!

and once you s t o p running doNOT sit down!

(you can get really really butt cramps lol;or in generally get really bad cramps!)

walk around for a min or so,stretch

and once youre on the track team;your teamates and coach will help you gett better.

    good luck

    best of wishes
