i want to know how many other people object to paying £1.05 a litre, i am shocked that the price has crept up over the last couple of weeks, when it went up to 90p the country was protesting its as if we are just sitting back and taking it in true british style. 60% of that price is tax, i feel better now i have had a moan.

  1. Downing Street website has petition

    http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/

Once set up contact TV and Radio an tell them about the petition to help publicise your worthwhile case

  2. Stand in line!

  3. why dont you think of finding a way of transport that does not require fuel as your way of protest, or there is the whole thing with vegetable oil.

  4. thats what Brit's do best, take it on the chin and say nothing.if only we complained more, the government would sit up and take notice,we  could take some tips from the French,at least they do have an inpact on their government when they take action

  5. So do I .

  6. you are lucky.. Because  we pay138% of that price is tax, in TURKEY..

  7. Well I want to complain about the price of gas but you don't hear me crying about it.  All you can do is take out your wallet and pay up the extra cash. I mean a barrel of oil is close to 100 dollars if not more,  try paying $3.15 for a gallon of gas that's what a bunch of motorists have to pay.

  8. At USA prices, vegetable oil is now competitive with diesel.  Add about 50 cents (25p) and you have biodiesel, which will work straight up in any diesel.

Still gotta pay taxes on it though, unless there are incentives.

P.S. Attention Americans, Stiffler especially.   If you convert his units to gallons and dollars, he's paying $8.28 a gallon for diesel.

  9. Go on then................... well done.

  10. the government have the technology to produce hydrogen cars all the time the british publis sit back and take it the goverment will keep raising fuel prices.....soon ppl will stop and england will come to a stand still then prices will fall.... ppl are to gutless to do it....

  11. What you need to do is convert your diesel to vegetable oil,go down the local chipper of a saturday night and ask for their old oil hey presto cheap motoring and the exhaust fumes smell magic! used to have a wagon deliver to work and it run on veggie oil.... it smellt great!!!

  12. As with all things these things are realtive.  If until recently you had been paying £2.10 a litre you would have jumped for joy at a 50% price reduction.

Don't worry on the Gordon Brown dead cert accumalator bet , you won't have to wait too long to pay £2.10 a litre.

On the technical side if you really want to save money just block off the fuel supply to three out of the four cylinders.

You may have some difficulty starting the engine and you are in for a fairly bumpy ride but you will save money.

  13. The old British way. Pathetic.

  14. with inflation at the % it is then it is hard to justify..maybe the oil people would like to comment here...its odd how the supermarkets can squeeze every last penny from farmers...but are unable to squeeze the oil people in a similar way....our last prime minster gave us the answer..''we don't care''  so sod off you peasants..lol l feel better now too

  15. hear hear but there's nothing we can do about it!! flipping politics and oil!

  16. we all want to complain about the price but no one listens

  17. You can complain all you like but it won't make an ounce of difference.

  18. Oil prices will continue to rise due to demand, currently, the strength of the Chinese and Indian economies is driving the demand way up.  Until an economical alternative is found, oil prices will continue to rise.
