  1. plug goes into socket

aerial lead that normally goes into to TV goes into line in on freeview box

there should be another lead with co-ax connections on both sides (like the aerial) this goes from line out on free view box to the co-ax connection that the aerial normally goes into on the TV

the scart lead connects from the freeview box to the back of the TV

you dont need another scart lead but if you want convenience then id suggest buying another one they're really cheap anyway

if your TV has only one scart connector at the back buy a scart bridge it has multiple connectors that allow multiple scarts on one connection (like a multi plug)

    hope this helps

  2. 1.  Plug your aerial into the input socket on your freeview box

    2.  Plug a cable into the output socket on the box and then into your socket on your TV.

    3.  Plug a scart socket into the box then into your TV.

Thats all you need to do (you will need to tune in the box using the remote provided).  Press Menu then First time installation press ok and let it tune itself in.

  3. u need scart from tv to free view box to view, u will have to either purchase another lead for tv to dvd or keep swapping em around

  4. scart lead from the freeview to the tv (dvd in other scart socket?) aerial in the back of the freeview....hmmm, don't know - the kids keep nicking the dvd player and i have this problem almost every night - it's starting to do my head in

  5. Why did the person who doesn't know what a freeview box is send an "answer" to this question. If you don't know, just shut up.

    Now, depending on your system.

    1) how many SCART connectors does your TV have

    2) ditto your Freeview box?

    3) does your freeview box feature a UHF modulator?

    4) I assume your DVD player does not also record.

As you can gather, there are several ways of doing this. It would be even more complicated if you wanted to also connect a VCR (useful for recording freeview).

If your TV has two (or more) SCART connectors, just connect a scart lead from each box to each socket on the TV. Connect the aerial to the freeview box.

Second possibility. If you only have one scart connector on your TV, you must have a freeview box with two scart connectors (otherwise you will have to swap leads around when you want to watch a dvd), or a freeview box with a uhf modulator One scart lead from the dvd player to the freeview box. Another from the second scart to the TV. If your freeview box has only one scart connector but has a UHF modulator, you have to connecto the freeview to the TV with an aerial type lead instead of the scart. This leaves the scart connector on the TV free for the DVD.
