I want to connect to my wireless internet upstairs but what is the best router to buy?

i want to spend any where between 90 and 50 dollars to be able to nicely connect to my network upstairs with no lag. dont know diffrence betwed all the n-routers and g routers but im guesing i need a wirles us adapter ?????so fill me in on it

I have a netgear one. It was around $60. It was super easy to set up. I have a mac book, a wii & an ooooollllllddd PC hooked up to it.
