The striker insisted that Die Knappen are playing sensational football at the moment and the team can challenge for major honours if they continue performing in the remaining course of the season.
The former AC Milan attacker admitted that it's his team’s performance which matters to him the most, and he always tries giving more than hundred percent in order to ensure all the three points for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Royal-95-c40387 Blues.
He insisted that Schalke have only been successful this season through teamwork, and urged his teammates to keep up the good work to stay in contention for the title.
While talking to the official FIFA website, fifa.com, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Netherlands-c753 international further added:
“I'll keep trying to score goals. I always give everything out on the field and I focus on taking my chances. However, what matters is a victory for the team, and I really don't care whether I contribute a goal or an assist to
that. The decisive thing is that we work together, and then individual success follows automatically.”
On the other hand, Huntelaar admitted that his side can’t afford to drop points at any stage of the competition if Schalke are to win this year’s Bundesliga. He insisted that it is a four-way title race, and whosoever maintains
the winning form will be crowned the 2011/12 Bundesliga champions.
“We want to stay right up at the top for a very long time. The title won't be decided until the last four matches, and our aim is to keep pace with Dortmund and Bayern up until that point,” the attacker concluded.
The Veltins-Arena outfit will next be in action against fourth placed, Borussia Monchengladbach, on Saturday, February 11, at the Borussia-Park.
