  1. 100 samples/sec = 100 cycles/sec (obselete term) = 100 Hz

anything per second that is cyclic has units of Hz.

  2. - One hertz simply means one cycle per second (typically that which is being counted is a complete cycle).

    - Sample, means a piece or limited quantity of material, usually from a larger amount, taken or provided for testing, analysis, inspection, demonstration, or trial use.

    - Cycle in this case means complete process of preparing the sample.

    Therefore:

samples per second = cycles per second = Hertz.

    Answer: 100 samples per second = 100Hz.

  3. Are you about the Nyquist theorem? 50 Hz is the highest frequency you can represent at 100 samples per second (alternating high and low samples).
