I just made this type of cake for my niece's 5th birthday party. It was definitely a blast and more unique than the average cake. Its great for clean-up purposes as well. You could also get the kids involved. After the cupcakes have cooled, have some kids frost them and put sprinkles on top.

  3. The cake recipie and frosting on the back of Hershey's cocoa is the best thing I've ever tasted.

  4. My grandsons love everything I make so I don't think it matters.  They especially like chocolate brownies with ice cream and chocolate syrup, all pies and all cookies.

  6. What about Banana bread with chocolate chips?  Or zucchini bread (or any summer squash) with chips and nuts?

This is what I make all the time.  It's got the chocolate in it for the sweetness, "dessert" feel, but it's not like a chocolate brownie...  you don't have to freak out if they want a slice of the bread for breakfast.  I also make the bread into muffins.  Put some frosting on it for a dessert, or leave it plain for breakfast.
