I want to count the rain drops any suggestions?

I have a bucket and a glass and they are filling up with rainwater but just because.... I want to count how many raindrops it will take to fill them.. any ideas

i thought it may be more interesting than watching bb9

get a really small dish and chatch one raindrop then let the bucket fill up the devided the amount of water in the bucket by the amount of the one raindrop hay presto

If you are in England, I would say that today that is an almost impossible task!. We were thinking of building an ark.

Rain drops come in many different sizes so collecting them and then mathematically figuring out how many of them is not going to work. You are going to be forced to count them as they fall. Also many will evaporate during the fall to earth so you will need to take a count and then compare the humidity in the air before and after the rain to determine how many evaporated. Either you will have to count very fast or pray for a very light shower.

Also don't confuse the cats and dogs and pitch forks with the rain drops as often it will rain cats and dogs and occasionally pitch forks. I remember once when it rained cats and dogs and there were poodles every where.

Once you have collected it all, Freeze it then you sit and watch it slowly melt drip by drip ( easier to count) Now that is more exiting than bb9 I'm sure
