I want to create a small website and need some help????

Question

i know how to create the site and know what i am doing but i am looking for a site that will give me some free space on line so that i can upload the site up to, i am looking for about 50meg of space to upload the site the following are critical for the site

it must be free

it should allow me to use ftp to upload the site

as little as advertising such as no banners and no popups if possible.

for to have your website loaded to the internet you have to pay try signing up to www.123reg.co.uk. Its good and it's very cheap.

50 megs free, with small advertising. Hmm.. I know geocities lets you have 20 megs, but I don't think they have any FTP.

Suggestions:

-Host your pictures on an external site, like Photobucket. Keep your background picture on your site, for faster loading.

-I use WinSCP. It's simple enough, and lets you edit multiple files at once with Notepad ++.

-Don't use Smartftp; it's very annoying.

You're not going to find free hosting site that allows FTP and doesn't have ads.  

FreeWebs.com has no ads if you log into your account every 30 days.  It has a File Manager which has multiple file upload.  No FTP unless you pay for Pro account.

Bravenet.com has FTP, but it does have ads.  It also provides you with tons of WQeb Tools and Widgets to use.

Stay away from Geocities.

I like SmartFTP for my FTP program.  I think it is still free.  If latest version isn't, you can download a previous version that can be used free.

If you just buy the domain, hosting and other many other products is free at https://www.easywebsitestoday.com.

It comes with ads from them, but I think they are very minimal. It comes with its own FTP s/w too.

PHP 5, MySQL 4, FTP, No Advertising at all!,

Axspace.com:

Same, but with cPanel and POP3+SMTP.

Freedomain.co.nr:

Use it to change your address from yoursite.hostingcompany.com to yoursite.co.nr. You need to place a tiny button, just to link back to co.nr. (You need to get a website first, co.nr is just a url forwarding service.)
