I want to cross to Tijuana mexico?

Question

i dont have a passport yet am a US citizen can i just use my DL to enter back to the USA?

its just for the day hate to go and pay 100.00 just to visit Mexico for a day..

you will be fine  you dont need a passport until 2009  youre supposed to have an ID and birth certificate  but i came back over the other day, i had both but my friend only had his ID  and there was no problem..  i go to rosarito about twice a month  and have yet to have a problem without a passport

Get the passport - the grief you will go thru to get back is not worth saving the $'s.  Also if you are just going for the day - take the bus across the border - round trip is not that much and it's the easiest and quickest way to cross

They won't turn you back, but you will be held for some hours while they run a full background check on you. $100? get the passport.
