Question:

I want to cry, but can't?

Lately i've been having alot of "pent up emotions"?

i'm really depressed and sad all of the time

and i feel like i want to cry, i mean.. sob like a little baby

but whenever i try to cry i feel like i'm trying too hard, and its fake

i want to really REALLY cry..but for some reason i cant

why is that? and how do i get myself to cry?

(Please, no suggestions to listen to sad music..)

  1. instead of resorting to crying, why not go walk, or swim, or ride a bike aimlessly; dont plan where you go, just ride/walk.

  3. I've had that kind of experience before. It'll come; just let it on its own. Don't force yoursef, it seems useless and unreasonable that way, as if you're wasting tears for a cause that is unworthy of such.

    Sit in a calm place, close your eyes and tell your self that you are capable of facing the situation  for about 100 times. Be brave. You must know  that coward dies every minute, but brave dies only once.

    If you are brave, no body can touch you. At times,  the deer drives away the tiger to save its cub. You have such a great potential to face every problem in life. Face it with smile.

    Do not think that it is easy to preach philosophy. I adopted this in my life and succeeded.

    I too hate crying but I have, overcome with emotions, in front of my daughter once. I tried real hard not to. I felt real good the next day....and I'm sure my daughter, will never forget that her father had a side, she was lucky to see.

    tons of anxiety, emotions and anger inside and I cant cry it out

    A doctor told me that crying is the natural way for the body to let emotions out and is actually tremendously healthy as u released morphins from the brain that cure depression and anxiety

    IGNORE THE Fking morons here that tell u crying is weakness, they are just clueless.... I am a guy and crying is actually reccommended.

    I just cant so I found a way of releaving stresss by writing what I feel on paper.... and then reading it

    sometimes I cry but is rare and I feel so good afterwards.

  10. I think I know what you mean. I've never experienced that before, but I know a few people that have. You have my deepest sympathies and I hope with all my heart that you will feel better.

    Yeah, it's probably from an overflow of negative emotion that's been bottled up. I really can't give you much advice (so I guess I failed to answer your question) but I can offer some advice on how those people I know dealt with such emotions.

    I remember one of them lost a parent and what they did is they just relaxed, took a look "inside themselves" so to speak, and focused on what in particular was making them feel so upset. Once they realized that, they wrote it all on paper, or even said it out loud and crumpled/tore the paper. Or took a pillow and screamed it in as loud as they could to release the emotions.

    Or you could pour a glass of water, tell your issues to the water, and pour it out. They use that method in China very frequently.

  11. I think that maybe the real problem you have isnt not crying its not being able to express your emotions, i would highly recommend writing down how you feel. Either in a dairy or you could just try it on a scrap piece of paper or even on your computer.

    Also other forms of expression are music poetry and art.

  12. cut up an onion if you really want to cry it out before it becomes too much. You don't want your emotions getting the best of you in an inappropriate time. ei depressed and crying at a wedding or birth. maybe try when you just wake up.....

  13. I know how you feel..like it just wont come out, but you feel so sad inside. Try staring at yourself in the mirror, alone, and think of everything thats making you upset. That's what helped me get it out.

  14. Don't pray for it to happen, before its time. When you need to cry it will come automatically.
