I want to d mall and i saw this sweepstake to win a car so i played?

and they called me & talking about i won a car,do u think it 4real of it fake??pls help cuz they keep callin me 2 call get the car.

I actually did win a car once.  I had to sign a bunch of papers and cover the taxes.  It was at a local dealership.  I didn't want to keep the car so I sold it.  My then boyfriend called around before I took possession of the car and found a dealership who would buy it from me.  On the day I picked it up, we went to the dealership that had the car, signed the papers, paid the taxes, took possession of the car, got the title and had our photos taken.  From there, we drove it right over to the other dealership who was buying it from me and received a nice fat cashier's check.  I signed the title over to them and handed them the keys in return.  Do you have anyone who can call these people on your behalf and investigate this, like maybe your father or an uncle?

You shouldn't have to pay anything but the taxes.  Do you remember entering a contest where you could win a car?  Ask them how they received your entry and the name of their company and exactly when you submitted the sweeepstakes.  Something should be ringing a bell.  If it's local, go in person.  I was called once when I had not really won something, but it was not a car.  When I searched them out on the BBB website, I saw a bunch of complaints, so this is always a good place to start.  It's www.bbb.org.

IF you entered a contest and that same contest is calling then yes you may well have won the car..  but if you didn't enter into a contest then no it's a scam..

As long as they don't start demanding money it may not be a scam
