  1. why

  2. Go above to Tools, Internet Options and click Clear History.

Also can go to Control Panel Taskbar and Start Menu, Click Start Menu and Customize and clear that list also if you want every single thing gone. And you can even set the Start Menu to zero programs. Slows things down tho.

  3. if your using internet explorer 7, tools>delete browsing history

or tools>internet options>delete under the browsing history section

older versions will use this too

for firefox, press ctrl+shift+del and a box will open with what temporary files you want to delete

  4. At any search site the drop down list is maintained by the auto complete function of the browser. That is the way names and addresses are filled in for you. You can turn the option off in internet options.

In IE go to tools - internet options - content - autocomplete - settings - forms (delete if desired).

In Firefox go to tools - options - privacy - remember what I enter in forms and the search bar.

To delete the items in just one box do the following. Double click in the "empty" box. Drop down to the first item and keep pressing the delete key until they are all gone.

  5. **Removal of items on your search bar**

On the right side of the bar before you get to the web search button click on the bar (you may have to click it a few times) will open a drop down box that will bring you at the front of items you searched for.

Place your mouse pointer over the first item and you will see it highlight. Do not click the item just leave your mouse where it is and hit the delete button on your keyboard. The item will vanish and the next will take its place and become highlighted. Just keep hitting the delete button and watch them go away.

This will work for any browser.

  6. You mean in the search engines? Try hitting delete fore each entry. If not just do your whole browsers History done from the Tools Menu--Internet Options and Clear history

  7. on top of your page is a tool button ,click it and select delete browsing history

  8. Click on the down arrow next to the search box in the toolbar, and click on Clear History.

  9. by all means you have my permission thanks for asking.....

  10. Google "cleanup.exe"

This cleans out all history files. Including last opened docs in Word and Excel.
