  1. Find a building.

    Find a supplier.

    Make a business plan.

Open a test day a few days before you actually open. (Invite family, friends, and people off the street. Don't do all people you know because they may tell you they like it when they really don't. Take strangers off the street and offer them free food/coffee in exchange for meaningful review. It's good practice for the staff too.)

Know food/health safety regulations in Egypt and contact any department you need to.

Hire staff. Make sure they show up on the test day, and hire more than you need at first just in case. Even if they don't know what they're doing, they'll learn soon enough. If they have previous experience in a similar restaurant/cafe, even better. Listen to that person and take their advice to heart. If you don't expect to be busy at firs,t don't hire a ton of people. Get additional staff as needed, and keep them happy. No workers=No business.

    And Open up.

Check out different suppliers around your area to get the best possible products for the cheapest price. Cheap is good, but cheap food/coffee isn't. I don't know much about Egypt in particular, but when you first open, make sure everything is clean. Always make cleanliness the priority. And make the customers happy as much as is reasonable for you (profit wise, that is) For the first month, maybe even afterward, listen to your customers and see what they like, then find a way to give them what they want while still making profit. (If you DON'T offer it, they won't come back, so it's really important. Just by telling them yeah, su,re, we don't have it today, but next time you come in,you can have some! it'll make them come in.

Advertise. Post signs, put an ad in the paper, tell everyone you know and don't know you're opening, and make friends with other local businesses.

and don't expect to make money Right away. You'll lose some at first, ( probably a lot) but if you sitll have a negative net gain after a few months, change strategy. It'll work out in the long run. Just don't freak out about the money.

    Hope this helps!
