I don't want to have a typical career. I want to devote my life to volunteering in third world countries full time. How can I do this and have an income for bare necessities?

  3. Peace Corps.

  4. wow good for you well i am volunteering i started my own team for relay for life but i am only 14 so there is only so much i can do but you can check my website out

all donations little and big add up and really can make a difference in cancer patients lives, even if you cant donate please put in an email and FWD to people

    thanks so much

  5. Im right there with you. Why not try to start your own charity, or buesiness helping  other countries, that would give you a little source of income, you could get sponsers and earn your money from that, and then from the charity or buesness use that money to help them out.

  6. Good for you. In a sense you wouldn't be volunteering , this would be your career, one you'd get paid for even if it's not a lot. Churches sponsor missionaries; organizations such as CARE or World Vision Doctors without Borders see that their employees have living expenses at least.

You could start out with the Peace Corps. You don't have much money at the time, but there's a lump sum at the end you can use as you choose.

Almost any activity--public relations, sales, engineering, mechanic, plumber--can be done as a volunteer or quasi-volunteer in the Third World. You ought to have something besides a willing heart to take with you when you go.

  7. It would be wiser to help the backwoods people of Kentucky. There are still a lot of hunry, illiterate people there. Check out the Red Cross. Help out your own country before going to help out another country.
