  1. Go to your local further education college and enquire - they will be able to tell you what courses are available, what the fees are and also whether you can apply for any financial help. There seem to be a lot of adverts about plumbing/ electrcal/ building skills in the papers at the moment, but when you go on the websites they never tell you how much it costs so I would avoid these like the plague!

  2. I am a plumber, and I suggest you contact Learndirect. I am not sure if they have a website or not. But these short time plumbing courses can never learn you all aspects of Plumbing you will come up against  when working for the General Public or on any builing site. I have been plumbing for over 40 years after doing a 5 year aprenticeship, and I am still learning new things even now, and coming up against new problems. These courses never learn you about lead work, Lead to copper joints, or even cast iron work which you can come across, and much more. Any way, good luck.

  3. your local FE college can help, or try Learn direct or Open College network.

Use the link here and you can find 88 courses within 15 miles of Nottingham, depends if you want fulltime, part time etc.
